Steve Fallick ’68 (above center) was presented with the Rensselaer Alumni Association (RAA) Alumni Key Award on October 13th. The event was also attended by RPI President Martin Schmidt ’81. The RAA Alumni Key was created in 1965 to recognize long-term and increasing levels of service in support of the advancement of Rensselaer by either alumni or friends.
Steve was recognized for his volunteer service to both the Rensselaer Alumni Fraternity & Sorority Council (AFSC), where he serves as Vice President, and for his more than 20 years of volunteer service to RPI’s SigEp chapter (NY Delta) alumni board including prior roles as both President and Vice President. Steve was nominated by multiple people and was selected by the members of the RAA Awards Committee.
The AFSC (formerly AIGC) is a sub-committee affinity group of the RAA formed to foster the overall improvement of the Rensselaer Fraternity and Sorority community and to enhance the welfare of Rensselaer and society.
Steve becomes only the 6th SigEp member to receive this award in its 58 year history. The others are: Byron Forster ’41 (1966), Carl Hamill ’54 (2012), Paul Bleicher ’76 (2011), Don Burgio ’89 (2022), and Eddie Chin ’94 (2013).
